Our Patented Approach
To Asbestos Removal

Our Patented Asbestos Removal Process

With its innovative techniques, Georgia Environmental has long been a pioneer in the removal of asbestos-containing materials. We developed and use the “FiberstopTM Foam Containment System,” or the “Georgia Environmental Approach. The Georgia Environmental Approach is covered by United States patent numbers 7,445,676 and 7,285,172.

At Georgia Environmental, we use a wet removal method recognized by the EPA, regularly results in working conditions that are far below the permissible levels. Most asbestos-containing materials can be removed without a great deal of trouble, cost, or need for negative pressure containment systems or extended building shutdowns.

How It Works

The Georgia Environmental Approach makes asbestos removal substantially more affordable and less intrusive. To stop asbestos fibers from dispersing into the air which can be extremely harmful, we employ foam that is applied to all the material’s surfaces, making sure that it is properly and sufficiently saturated. When asbestos and other particles are being removed, the layer of foam bubbles serves as a barrier to keep them confined.

When a particle pierces the foam bubble, it explodes and collapses around the impinging particle. This prevents the asbestos and other particles from escaping into the air by completely moistening them. The layer of foam, which completely occupies the region across the surface of the object being cleaned, contains, and captures asbestos and other particles.
